Also, take note that my critique is of a film that has been lionized above the rest, so I'm not saying it's a bad film. It was good/entertaining. I prefer styles where dialogue is not shoved in your face and there might be more subtlety or interpretation. Birdman leaves nothing to the imagination. It hands everything to you.
