In England, maybe.
The Episcopal Church in the US separated from the Anglican Church many years ago. Protestant churches with "Anglican" in their names tend to be decidedly not prestigious.

In America, not so much. The Episcopalians here were were never much for the pomp and ceremony going back before the Revolution. So-called “Anglicans” who larp a “reformed yet Catholic” thing got going in the US after the Oxford Movement, and these days tend to attract aesthetes and other try-hards who don’t have the courage of their convictions to cross the Tiber.
Of course the true preftige in America resides with the Puritan descendants in the Congregationalist churches but there are hardly any left. Surprisingly, this lineage includes a lot of waspy Unitarians, too.

As others have said, it varies wildly by parish. Some appear to be groups of liberal activists operating under the label of a church. Others are small and clinging to life.
But in most Southern cities, the most prestigious church, the one where the most civic and business leaders go, and the one from which the others take their social cues, is the downtown Episcopal church. I'm going to one of these in a few hours myself.
