unfortunately, if you refuse to engage your opponent in the marketplace of ideas, they will have no choice but to play the power game too. This leads to everyone leaping straight to violence as quickly as possible. that's the direction we're all headed.

we saw this to a much greater extent in the 1960s, but that was much worse because it was a backlash against the American war of aggression in Vietnam and the draft which sent 65,000 low income Americans against their will to die and 500,000 more to be maimed.

Today, the conflict centers around a bunch of demoralized narcissistic tech addicted bourgeoisie losers adopting Limousine Leninism as their rallying cry. It's cultural destruction with no definable end goal, all fueled by silicon valley robber barons designing their software to induce maximum addiction factor.

We aren't nearly as bad as the 60s-70s yet, but we are well on the way to shoot right past that into major third world style civil unrest. "Racism" is just a smoke screen.

Yes, things were more violent and there was more unrest, but at the end of the day you had high social capital that kept society together. Today, the family structure is non-existant and everyone is mystery meat with easy access to hard drugs.

This will end much worse than the conclusion of the 60s.
