It's the lower middle class who are screwed over, if they fail to get into the best private schools, which give them close to full rides. If they end up at Fordham or NYU, they might get $10,000 in financial aid, which means they still have to borrow up to $70,000 per year to attend a second-rate school. |

I couldn’t disagree with this more. Public support for universities should be primarily research grants. Students should pay for At least half of the cost of their undergraduate education. Colleges and universities should be forced to pay a tax for every foreign graduate student (undergrads exempt) to render their dependence on a pseudo-slave labor force unprofitable and force them to invest in US students. |
