But in terms of national confidence, strategy, image, finance, innovation and influence, we're pretty much fucking done here.
We're a third world holding pen with nukes. China has embraced the Calvin Coolidge "the business of China is business" combined with its authoritarianism and cunning chinkery in leveraging its huge market to gain power.
No one is looking to the US for leadership. At best, the US is a lumbering giant that a more normal basket of Westernized countries can use as an international police force to counter China in some ways, and that's about it. |

If manufacturing went back to the US from this we might take a hit on #s but that'd be healthier in the long run. China is probably looking to plunder us for another 10-20 years more before they really can deal with us economically - they have a lot of domestic issues as the debt shows before they are really that healthy |
