it is for fire prevention - i have multiple structures and i also cut around the roads to stop them from growing into the gravel. i do them in sections every year during the spring. i leave the large trees and other foilage intact. i haven't got all of it done in one go bc i'm lazy, duh

Unless you have dozens of structures once the brush is cleared it won't grow back for years. If you don't clear all the brush, that's still a fire hazard and defeats the purpose of clearing other brush but not all of it, unless the structures are worthless. |
