Our health department and building and safety permits should be all approved next month. Our alcohol license probably in April. So we will be opening in April. However, once the health department and building and safety are approved we can technically open. So we are going to do private events for about a month with no alcohol until we get our alcohol license. I already have a couple hundred people lined up for that over the month of March.
Everything is looking great. We finished most of the construction within budget, the food menu and bar menu are pretty much done, and the only real hold up was that permits took longer than we hoped. But we knew that permits were a wild card. Luckily we had a rent abatement through Feb 1, and our landlord agreed to abate rent two more months to help us out. So we don't have to write a rent check until April 1.
I'll post photos in a couple weeks when we are fully finished with the renovations. Disco fries is visiting in March, so I'm going to do a private dinner for him and his family (and a few other posters). Will post lots of photos! |
