Three months earlier than predicted. They've permanently weaned themselves from reliance on Russian gas it appears.

Russia could have been powerful for another 50 years if they didn’t blow their load on this fruitless Ukraine adventure

How could you characterize Russia as powerful

If they could not succeed in regional war?

powerful as in a paper tiger that countries were scared of, meaning they had leverage far beyond their actual capabilities

It would be a terrible shame if an increasingly angry and isolated Russia said “fuck it” and dropped a nuke on Berlin.

A terrible shame it would be! I would definitely NOT laugh my ass off.

They are just buying Russian LNG at a 50% premium. Rosneft profits were up 25% in Q1.

The front-month futures at the TTF hub, the benchmark for Europe’s gas trading, crashed by 10% on Thursday to settle at $26.78 (24.94 euros) per megawatt-hour (MWh), the lowest price since the start of the energy crisis in the autumn of 2021.

The price trend in European natural gas prices is in stark contrast with last year, when benchmark prices soared to as much as $322 (300 euros) per MWh in August, after Russia slashed supply via pipelines and governments and industry were spooked by potential gas shortages in the winter.
