every weekend they host lavish, but casual parties. Tons of food, all the italians bring stuff they spent 24 hours cooking, tons of wine, fancy deserts flown from Italy.
The hosts arent that rich and I imagine this is a big expense for them. The kids all stay up till like 1AM goofing around the party while the adults get loaded and dance and do karaoke.
They had a party like this on Saturday which I attended, and then were like "We are having people over for the super bowl, come back!"
Im way too American to live like that, but it is refreshingly indifferent to responsibility and stress and anxiety. And it prioritizes beautiful things -- the food should be beautiful and well made, the drinks should be beautiful, the women should be beautiful and thin

I worked on a bunch of deals for a client that had me in Europe way too often for a 2-year stretch but I started to really like it. Looked into it with my wife and realized that I’d be making shit there working for a Euro company (on top of being a continent away from aging parents and while having kids of our own).
Life overall is far healthier there although EU globalists are doing their darnedest to turn it into a poorer America full of hostile strangers. |
