Problem for B was that there was only one black politician with the status justifying being given the VP slot, and that was Kamala Harris. If Stacey Abrams had won her governorship, she'd have gotten it.

This is half correct, but again, you're mistaking the "problem" for a "feature" from Biden's perspective. He absolutely had to pick a black woman, but he wasn't "forced" to pick an unlikeable and incompetent cunt -- he did that voluntarily because he knew that it would make it VERY unattractive to try and remove him from office.
