This has been the line from vatnicks for 3 years now to explain why the mighty "2nd Army in the World" is still jammed up in the Donbass. If they could bend Ukr's will, they would have done so. But they can't. Where they have been able to level towns and villages, they've done so.
The territorial changes have been minimal late 2022. There's graphics on twitter showing how little has changed since then. If you include the russian territory lost in kursk, I'm not even sure how much net territory russia has gained at all. |
