They are the absolute worst Asians when it comes to this, not even close, but it's not because they don't know the vocabulary and shit. It's because the hardest thing for anyone to find is an English conversation partner. The teachers can't even speak it. Also, actual Japanese language is hierarchical and women speak differently than men. It's very hard for them to suddenly converse in English with each other.
