You can walk in decent parts of the city and you're simply not going to be worried about crime. Not at night, not in the day, it simply won't be an issue. It will not matter if you're male or female, and lol at pretending like the middle aged lawyers that occupy this board are too physically imposing for hardened criminals to mess with. In the American cities I mentioned you'll see random serious crime happening in the safest parts of all of those cities. We just accept it because people that live here don't understand the alternative, but it absolutely exists.
Oh and at least in Miami, Dallas, etc. you can simply carry. You might still get targeted but at least you'll have a fighting chance. |

I saw some high speed chase with gangbangers firing guns through their windows. I knew many people that got robbed. I generally walk around with large guard dogs and apparently used to walk past a group that used to rob people in Central Park but didn't want to mess with the dog. I honestly have no idea why people choose to live like that.
As for who is a "little bitch" - lets not pretend like you would handle some group that was going to "blood in" that night. I lived near Cabrini Green and in Harlem, I walked most nights in Central Park and I always carried a knife and I never got robbed but I don't for a second think that this wasn't also due to dumb luck. |

(1) I know a lot of men who were robbed (some multiple times) living in bad neighborhoods. Yeah if you live on the UWS and go home by 9 pm you probably won't see crime, but there is crime.
(2) Even if you're in a populated "safe" area, as long as there are homeless on the street, you're at risk for violent crime. It's always turned out fine for me, but its not like over the years I havne't seen them swing at other people's necks with box cutters, throw glass bottles at random people in a cafe, wave around giant knives in the street. You're playing with fire when you walk among the schizos. |
