One guy said he’s the only person in his small area in china that has access to a computer so 1500+ people gather to watch him poast on a projector. It’s becoming an issue. No good.

3. The “dating” thread spamming needs to stop. No one needs 100 threads a day about how you can’t date unless you’re 6’4. We are all in our 40’s and 50’s. If sex hasn’t happened by now, it’s not gonna happen. No need to talk about this non stop.

4. Most poasters have left law in one way or another. Gotta figure this out. We need more lawyers and judges here. Maybe there is a part of the board that is more “tame” and you can put your IRL name and title and then people with a certain amount of board experience can come in anonymously and have a discussion.

Whoever runs the XO Twitter should probably make it more clear that registration is semi-open, you just need to figure out how to get a legitimate .edu address rather than using one of those $5 Maricopa ones. That would bring some new blood in. Right now, anyone who tries to register is likely to see a bunch of threads claiming that registration is closed, when that's mostly not even true.

The biggest advantage XO has over imageboards is that you don't have to solve a captcha every time you want to post, and the lack of strict rules means you aren't getting banned for three days over some petty shit unless you're completely going off the rails. I think that's marketable enough on its own.

The people on Twitter are objectively higher quality than the people remaining on XO. The only reason why I still come here is because there are certain specific poasters here who I enjoy hanging out with. Otherwise Twitter has objectively better people who you can ***choose*** to interact with. You can curate followers and followings. You can mute and block people. Here you have to use a browser addon to remove 50% of the front page which is made up of spammers who come here every day to be assholes for attention

I could personally make this board 10x better with almost zero effort by removing the bad actors and targeting recruitment of good ones. But people here are not interested in that.
