Passengers described to Israeli news outlets a terrifying melee that left one crew member bleeding from a stab wound and ended with his attacker subdued by passengers. The plane landed safely at a civil-military airport in Tabuk, in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Ophir Spiegel, who said his mother Dalia was on the flight, told Israel’s public television station: “I just got a message through WhatsApp from a person I don’t know, but it said, ‘I’m with Dalia and she’s fine.’ So this is a calming message to the Spiegels at large — Mom is fine!” |
