Bought a meat stick and a can of seltzer water from concessions, no popcorn or sweets. during the previews there was a lot of noise from teens laughing and carousing. I looked back once to see who it was in case I needed to speak to the manager during the film. Didn't say anything.
False alarm though. Once the movie started they were quiet. About halfway through the film there's a scene where the main character encounters an obese naked bald man in a sewer. As soon as he appeared on camera I heard "looks like that dude" (directed at me) and lots of giggling. Then in the film the man's belly explodes and thousands of rats come pouring out.
After the scene I took a few bites of my meat stick and I heard an urban voice exclaim "rat man's gnawing on his slim jim!" And TONS of laughter. It took everything in me to ignore it. They were whispering remarks and laughing for the rest of the film basically. I know I'm repulsive but I can't even enjoy a movie in peace. I'm at the end of my rope. |
