Aristotle is insanely 180. Especially his metaphysics (and physics) and ethics. Probably should read his poetics too since you just finished sophocles.
I don’t have a good hook into him yet, I need a hook arising from issues generated from questions arising elsewhere, not from a figure’s stature. I have a hook into Plato via the privatio boni critique, maybe I’ll get pulled into Aristotle after
I have a hook into the stoics and Epicureans and even the cynics via the tragic, non redemptive god image

Aristotle ultimately contributes to that discussion too. Aquinas in his summa theologiae has an argument about privation that is influence both by aristotle's metaphysics and augustine/neoplatonism. I can't remember exactly off the top of my head, i'm sure ai could point you in the right direction. But also there are other reasons to read h8im, his entire system is just really well put together, it's worth a read. The transalations are kind of boring, but the interesting part is in the ideas
I don’t disagree with you, but I’m hundreds of books behind which is why I focus on the hook element
Im currently reading or approaching “pagan and Christian in an age of anxiety” by Dodds, open secrets by shahak, the jung cult (your recommendation?), cult fictions, and nick land’s main work
