When I joined the GOP informally in 2018 and formally in 2020, I always had a mind to reform it. Trump brought me into the party. I never would have joined without Trump. I was never a fan of George Bush, John McCain, of Mitt Romney. I was not watching Lou Dobbs or reading Breitbart. I was not politically awakened in 2016.
But I was really changed by Trump's nationalist populist message. I always thought America could be better than it was. I always thought people who hated America were losers. I believe in our exceptionalism. We have to live up to that. We have to be great. And we can do it but we need much better politicians. We can do better than this boomerslop. |
