I don't really know why, but many just grow up akward. They have all this pressure to excel in school and all sorts of other cultural pressures. They are naturally shy and don't fit in. Many of the guys are angry. Once I had a roommate who was just angry at the world for whatever reason. Sometimes he'd have mini-break outs where he'd just bitch about everything in the world. Blacks have strong politcal power and even Hispanics are heard politically. But Asians are like unknown and taught just to ride the wave and never stand out.
