So you're going to go through the trouble of setting up multiple times in a year. Do you have any idea how hard it is to move all your shit, find a place, and meet new people?
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:24 PM Author: galvanic burgundy theatre
You lose 4 days traveling, dealing with glitches, and having to buy new household items. Plus you have to find a new maid. Finding things to do, i.e. sports teams to join is tough. But meeting a whole new set of people is the hardest.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:30 PM Author: charismatic toaster
lol, why would you lose 4 days travelling? You have the person you rent from arrange a maid and have her stock the house, if yhou're in a hotel you don't need to worry about these things. Fuck joining a sports team if you're there for 1-3 months, live a little faggot. Meeting a whole new set of people is exceedingly easy, but in my case not an issue because I have friends pretty much all over already.

That's a pretty vague question. If you have an interest in Russian history, especially the soviet era it's a pretty fascinating place, to see pieces of the czarist era, soviet era and current era all coexisting in close proximity. Also the nightlife is excellent, the women are beautiful

been living all around the east coast for the past 5 years, been to almost every state, visited much of europe, israel - some places I'd love to go back and visit for an extended period, but I don't think I'd wanna live there for any significant period of time
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:30 PM Author: concupiscible soggy market
Well, to think it through:
I just can't stand places where they don't speak english. I don't mind visiting, but I sure as well wouldn't be able to live there.
Been to England, can't STAND it. Canada is just all around TTT. South Africa's got too much nigger crime. Leaves Australia, which I actually don't mind all that much. So I guess we can count that in.
In the U.S. - I hate the cold. I hate Texas, the south (n.c. georgia - been there, didn't like), florida's too damn humid. oregon, arizona, etc. simply don't compare to socal in lifestyle, etc.
Only real disadvantage I've found to socal is traffic. Can't stand it. but as far as everything else goes, it's just ideal for me.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:33 PM Author: concupiscible soggy market
hows that? becuase I don't wanna pretend I'm all sophisticated and "cultured", so i have to say shit like "paris" or "moscow"?
Have you fags ever BEEN to moscow? I have. It's a horrible place. horrible. it's interesting to visit. but not to live.
Paris? so you can pretend to be a worldly fellow and visit museums? have you been to france? I have. I hate the french. No way I could be around them or live amongst them for more than a few weeks, however nice paris may be.
I admit i've never been to hong-kong. I'd like to visit. maybe a week or two. but live there? why the hell?
Same with tokyo.
NYC?
I've lived in NYC the last 3 years. It's cool. Unparalleled night-life, everything a subway ride away. but it's too damn cold in the winter and the niggers just ruin the place.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:48 PM Author: charismatic toaster
Some people aren't "pretending." Yes, i've been to Moscow, I loved it and would live there, sorry you didn't enjoy your time. You hate the French? Probably because you don't speak French and come off as an obnoxious American douche which makes them dislike you.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:05 PM Author: charismatic toaster
It's not about being "cool" you stupid faggot, you would pick someplace to live because you enjoy it, not because you worry about how it will sound to others. You are fucking pathetic.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:06 PM Author: concupiscible soggy market
You guys realize a year is a long time, right?
If the question were "visit" or "vacation", sure there are tons of places I'd love to go.
But live for a year? that's a long time. if ur talking about as a transfer student, that's an entirely different story. but to live? in the regular culture, etc? I think you're really all talking outta ur asses

unless you're planning on paying a mortgage, alimony, child support, and legal fees after you murder the prostitutes you hire, 200k should be more than enough
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:37 PM Author: charismatic toaster
Depending on where you live, rent could be very very expensive. Travelling is also expensive. Also in a place like Moscow, if you don't speak Russian you would be better served by having a driver.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:43 PM Author: Milky underhanded nibblets
In any city in the world you could live very comfortably for well under $100k rent in a year. That leaves you $100k+ purely for spending. This hypothetical is about LIVING in a city for a period of time, not staying in hotels. Side trips, skiing, yachting etc are well and truly accessible with that disposable income.
You would be a serious fucktard to choose, out of all the cities in the world, a Russian city to live in if you don't speak any Russian.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:46 PM Author: charismatic toaster
You seem to forget 200k is not 200k when put into euros you stupid faggot. If you think all the sidetrips are so accessible you clearly don't understand what things cost. You obviously are a faggot with no clue what he is talking about.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:52 PM Author: Milky underhanded nibblets
Oh ok you must be right. That is why every single other poster on this board thinks you are wrong and you are a pathetic retard.
The hypothetical is about living in a city. Not about jetsetting all over the world flying first class, staying in 5 star hotels and resorts. For $100k+, probably more like $125k+, you can easily access 2-5 interesting short side trips from where you are LIVING.
Date: January 31st, 2008 4:54 PM Author: charismatic toaster
Why would you only want to go on 2-5 short side trips close to your city, that is TTT. To mention when you are left with 100k euros you would still easily run through that just going out in the city you chose to live in. Ever think you faggots are saying i'm wrong because you don't know what the fuck you're talking about, or at least have a different standard of acceptable? What's you definition of a short side trip? Moscow to Nice is 4 hour flight, I could run through 100k euro in a week on the Riviera if I really wanted to (less time probably).

Please demonstrate your unparalleled faggotry by providing detailed responses to the questions below. This will take you up to approximately 50-60 posts in this one thread, thereby further reinforcing how much of a loser you truly are. Please, especially make up as much bullshit as you possibly can about how you WISH you could spend money on the Riviera. Instead you are on your computer all day everyday wanking your 3 inch dick to gay porn and pretending to have wealth and popularity.
If you restrain yourself and do not respond to this post then you might not be such a TTT wannabe faggot.
What airline do you generally fly and what is your relationship with them (i.e. are you in one of their VIP or frequent flyer clubs, and if so what is the name of said club)
What type and size of yacht do you like to sail?
Where and when did you learn to sail? Provide some details
How, exactly would you spend 100k+ in 4 days or less on the Riveria. Lets have names of hotels, restaurants and bars/clubs that you would go to.
What types of wine do you drink?
How have you invested your millions? Again, details
Je pense que tu ne parle pas francais. Écrivez-moi un paragraphe court au sujet de Paris. C'est tres facile.

What airline do you generally fly and what is your relationship with them (i.e. are you in one of their VIP or frequent flyer clubs, and if so what is the name of said club) : Which airline do I generally fly where faggot? If you mean transatlantic, Continental. Elite Access is their VIP program and their airport lounge is the Presidents club, but who the fuck cares about TTT shit like airline lounges?
What type and size of yacht do you like to sail? My family has two yachts, one power and one sail. To be honest, I do not know the maker of the power one, the sailboat is a Sparkman & Stephens hull design
Where and when did you learn to sail? Provide some details: I am by no means an expert sailor, I learned what I know from my parents teching me while on sailing trips. However, they did most of the it and I was largelly just a passenger
How, exactly would you spend 100k+ in 4 days or less on the Riveria. Lets have names of hotels, restaurants and bars/clubs that you would go to. : I'll do you one better, you could run through 100k in 1 day...Arrive at Nice Cote D'Azur airport, hire a helicopter to transport you to St. Tropez (Helo. Drops you near the beach clubs) This is roughly 1k euro (99 to go) have the hotel shuttle meet you at the landing pad and bring you to the Byblos, we'll be conservative and check into one of the small suites, roughly $2,000 euro per night (97 to go). After we change, we'll head back in the shuttle to Voile Rouge, one of the beach clubs. Lunch and bottles of expensive booze to drink and compete in one of the champagne fights lands you at 12k euro (85 to go). Around 6 or 7 you're tired so you head back to Byblos for a nap. You want a big night, so your group has Villa Romano send a shuttle for you and you go to eat there. The partying is crazy as usual and you run through a bunch of bottles with you meal. you are somewhat reasonable, so we'll say 5k (80 to go). You head back to have drinks poolside before Les Caves opens and run through a few hundred (we won't even count it). Around 1 you head down to Les Caves (24 euro per beer, 48 euro per mixed drink), you are feeling sporty and you guys want to get very drunk, so you order 2 methusalem of their top champagne, total cost 60k (20 to go), around 3 you are no longer feeling Les Caves, so you head to VIP Room or Papagayo and get a table, you're drunk and don't care so you order 8 or 10 bottles of champagne for your group and just to splash around with randoms, with the few bucks you have left of you 100k, you grab some food on the way home, then pass out back at the Byblos and wonder how you are going to pay for tomorrow, HTH
What types of wine do you drink?: I am not a wine person, I am woeful uneducated on wine
How have you invested your millions? Again, details: I haven't invested anything in any way, this is my families $, I have no idea how they do it

At the going exchange rate, you 200k USD is now worth ~135k Euro. Your apartment is going to run 2-5k Euro per month (less in western europe, more in Moscow) so 24-60k Euros gone, leaving you with 75k-111k left in Euros. Can you live and travel for 12 months on that, sure, but it is not going to be in great style. Also subtract further $ if you live in a place like Moscow where you need a driver.

as long as money is taken care of, i'd go ahead and live in the world's 12 most expensive cities for 1 month each, excluding any i've already been to, like NYC or tokyo.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:19 PM Author: heady filthpig
okay, fine.
i spend four months each in bhutan, the maldives, and iran. mostly because those countries are all expensive to get into for americans due to fees and paperwork. bhutan charges like $250 a day in "guide fees."
Date: January 31st, 2008 5:42 PM Author: cerebral main people
you can easily visit all the sites in Isfahan and Shiraz within a week (10 days if you really take your time). Mashhad and Tabriz can each be covered within a few days too, and you'd spend 2 days max in Qum. I don't see a good reason for anyone to spend more than a month or two in Iran unless they have friends and family there
Date: January 31st, 2008 6:26 PM Author: cerebral main people
yeah, there are plenty of other cities, but would four months really be needed to tour Iran? I meant to mention Tehran, though it's a horribly overcrowded TTT.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:29 PM Author: passionate plaza
they probably measure the cities by having stupid americans go to clubs and buy their $10 drinks. or perhaps buy imported cars. that has nothing to do with real col.
Date: January 31st, 2008 3:40 PM Author: passionate plaza
i dont even know any more. russia always seems cheaper at everything. but really women seem to be the only thing that is more abundant and cheaper there. if you want to go skiing, buy a car, a tv, etc it's almost as expensive as in usa. i guess going on vacation is a bit easier, because turkey is much closer and cheaper than caribs.

HTH faggot. I'm out for a bit now, please feel free to post more crap, i'll address it later.

dubai looks like a tacky version of atlantic city, but something nice about it would be a jump off point to a huge part of the world id probably never bother to visit. so id live there as a base and travel around the entire time to egypt and nepal and kenya
