Date: January 7th, 2018 4:58 PM Author: cheese-eating gas station round eye I'm calling this event the Tax-Ularity. The time when most old-crypto-millionaires hit the long-term-gains threshold. Will everyone dump at that point? should we expect huge crashes in the next 6 months or so when crypt-millionaires from last year dump their holds? Date: January 7th, 2018 5:08 PM Author: swashbuckling charcoal shrine Is most of the money not Oriental/random richmos like the Winkelvosses? For the Petermans of the world, they're only paying ~24% on the majority of a $100k gain. If they haven't already taken some profit then I don't see how long term cap gains tax would be too much of a catalyst when all of their gains - equivalent to like 30 years of shrewd savings and investment returns - could vanish overnight. Their stack dropping to 0 doesn't motivate them, but saving a few % will? (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=3852412&forum_id=7#35103953) |

Date: January 7th, 2018 5:11 PM Author: Low-t state roast beef I doubt it will have a net negative effective. Hitting the year mark also will increase trading liquidity because it will free up ETH for more crypto-to-crypto trades. (http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=3852412&forum_id=7#35103978) |
