Border Collies can adapt to a sedentary lifestyle as housedogs. I'm also home all day so I can keep an eye on them. |

She dug her nails into the wood side and then slid it open. The door was really heavy, I still can't believe she had the force to do it, but when we finally moved out of that house, her nails had dug grooves in the wood that had to be 1/4 inch deep. They are 180 dogs for people who like hiking, running, taking them to play frisbee, fetch at dog parks, etc. They can have a crazy amount of energy though since they were bred and genetically reinforced to run 30 miles a day and herd sheep. |

I was standing at a crosswalk after our run and she was sitting beside me with about 6 other UMC people in a nice downtown area in a progressive mostly white city with very few blacks - she was perfectly content with this group of people (mostly women) until a ghetto black male walked behind the group of people and she freaked out and started growling / barking at him - it was obvious she singled him out and I had to pull the leash to get her to heel - everyone knew what just happened |
