There are definitely some "WTF" changes (e.g. Aretuza just being bizarro hogwarts turning girls into eels and other than a couple scenes the show mostly ignoring how evil its version of Tissaia is) but overall it's one of the only things to come out in recent years I've bothered watching past a couple episodes. Geralt/Dandelion/Calanthe are all cast very well and that goes a long way to glossing over the mountains of nonsense.
It changes a lot from the short stories and books but aside from the short stories most of the source material is pretty "meh" anyway. I only read the books because I was extremely bored and had a month to kill before starting a new job after I finished TW3. |
