I’m not sure I believe that but he was supportive of violence, slam dancing etc. toward the end of minor threat the scene got infiltrated with skinheads beating people on the dance floor and he realized he didn’t like that and blamed himself in part for encouraging it with minor threat
His next band embrace (my favorite of his bands) has a good song about this called Said Gun.
He did go full homo in fugazi. They’d stop playing when people moshed and whatnot.
I see Ian around in dc sometimes and it’s weird and surreal to me to see him with his stupid little hat irl. |
