This is already happening. There is no gender wage gap for women who don't have children. At my law firm, our associates are half and half men and women, but the partners are only like 15% women, and they're all the ones who didn't have kids or who are married to men who raise the kids as the primary caregiver. You simply cannot get to top career levels as a woman if you have kids, unless you marry a man (or woman) who will do the caretaking. Because all the men at the top are super competitive and they almost all have stay at home wives who raise their kids and take care of everything at home.

What I am thinking when I get with a man is simply that I want to have sex with him and the thrill of the chase and the first year or so of sex is fun. Also they have to be fun to hang out with. But it's not anything more than that. I have never wanted children so I don't think I have the same pathetic, clingy, I-need-a-man attitude that some women seem to have.

As far as worrying about cheating and all that goes...yes I do worry about it. But honestly I am just as likely to cheat and have on most of them. I'm not aware of ever having been cheated on, but I probably have been. I would instantly break up with any guy who did. I don't let this topic obsess me because I think most humans are not cut out for long-term monogamy and all sex becomes boring eventually with the same person. No one likes to have to compete for their own partner or worry about this, and we are all sexual hypocrites in this regard.

As far as porn goes, I'm sure my boyfriends have secretly watched it now and then, but they would never tell me or let me know and would keep it hidden. Luckily I am in my 40s and did not grow up in a time when this was just expected as a normal, constant, every day behavior. Likewise Instagram etc is not an issue for me because at my age most people aren't obsessed with social media like that. Thank god I am not in my 20s now. I honestly feel awful for you, social media is the worst.

As far as the general violent and disgusting nature of men, I don't hide my opinions on that at all and regularly share my views with my boyfriend and he knows full well I think the world would be a better place if most men were castrated. Idk, he either thinks I'm kind of joking (I'm really not), or he's just secure that he's not one of the ones I would want castrated, which is true.

In sum, I think my relationships with men have been fine and enjoyable for a few reasons:

I'm extremely confident and full of myself and just don't put up with anything I don't want to and just expect that they will cook and do equal or more work than me.

I am entirely 100% fine being alone and in fact I somewhat prefer being single...therefore I am never desperate to be in a relationship and would never be in one if it didn't suit me because I am completely fine walking away at any time. A lot of women PRETEND to be fine being single but they really aren't, and that's why they accept substandard shitty relationships.

I never wanted kids. This is huge. The desire for children and then the need to support them is an enormous part of what makes women vulnerable, pitiful in comparison to men, and willing to grovel and put up with shit from men.

I don't prefer exclusive, monogamous sex to casual sex. I actually think "new" sex with a stranger is a lot more fun and exciting than relationship sex, so for me being willing to do exclusivity is somewhat of a trade-off that I'm only willing to do if someone is really cool and fun and interesting to be around.

I do not ever expect men to be anything but what they are...untrustworthy, self-serving pigs. So I don't ever financially or emotionally depend on them.

I was not raised with any religion, so I don't think I have a lot of the deep-wired programming around gender roles or the sanctity or marriage or bearing children or any of that other crap that religious households put into children's heads to make them compliant with the social order. This is probably a huge factor of why I haven't suffered a lot of the problems that others describe in this thread. I never really had illusions about male-female relationships being about anything other than sexual attraction and biological matters.

But basically it boils down to me being in relationships with men because I'm attracted to them and like having sex with them. That's it. I have often wished I was a lesbian, I think they're superior to heterosexual women and are the most competent, least-bullshit women I've ever known. But I'm not attracted to women.

I have not experienced relationships as being emotional rollercoasters with ups and downs. I'm a peaceable, chill person and have got along well in all my relationships but one without much drama. There is actually way more annoying drama in my friendships with women, with all the pettiness and jealousies. To the contrary, I find long-term relationships with men to be mostly very calm and predictable and routine, to the point that after a few years they just become excessively boring and I start itching for something new and exciting. Playing house for more than a couple years does not really keep me interested and I like being by myself, I don't have high social needs and am somewhat introverted.

My expectation is that once I hit menopause, my sex drive will die and I'll no longer be interested in men or having relationships with them, and that will be just fine with me. I will be happy to be free of the itch and the need to do work to attract men sexually.
