I had a few ticks maybe 10 years ago but I caught them in under 2-4 hours I think- once 24 hours has passed that’s when it’s a big risk if I remember right.

Thankfully when I saw the "bulls eye" sign i dragged myself to the doc ASAP and did 3 weeks of antibiotics. Fully cured.
