welcome friends. i'd like to begin this week's round-table by returning to Origen and the influence of 'De Principiis' on the eventual compilation of the Codex Justinianus. the previous thread's debates included Justinian's declaration of Origen as a heretic and whether or not this was an act of crypsis designed to disguise the introgression of key concepts from DP into the CJ. for this week, i'd like to call upon our translation team to chime in with their comparative translations of the byzantine greek in the aforementioned CJ passages with the greek found in Origen's Philokalia.
