Lol.
You think Dems win the majority of voters who are worth more than like ten million?
If they do, and the GOP STILL makes cutting taxes for that group their number one legislative priority, then the party is filled with imbeciles.

"many publicly announced they were voting for Biden just to get rid of Trump and signed gay open letters condemning him etc"
If anything, the last 5 years have taught us that the people willing to be vocal =/= a representative sample of any group.
I have no doubt a bunch of CEOs are liberal and outspoken. That doesn't mean a majority are.

homo sapiens is evolved to have their worldviews and behaviors shaped by tribal leaders. That was how we survived and thrived 200k years ago and more--by adopting a highly cohesive model of social organization that is held together by ideas transmitted down from the top, where such ideas are internalized by the tribe and which shapes the culture and the worldview and behaviors of the tribe. THat is hardwired in our dna.
That worked fine in small tribes. But today in this very different world, the tribal elites are now parasites/predators that exploit our evolved traits for their own benefit.

In well off blue districts the number one item on the agenda for Dem reps has been getting rid of SALT caps. They've threatened to tank the infrastructure bill if they don't get the cap raised or eliminated.
All of the other policies Dems propose involve using debt, or taxing megamillionaires.
