On a modern car with even mild driver assist-- adaptive cruise control + lane keeping-- 550 miles is nothing. Just listen to a podcast/music and do maybe 10 minutes of active driving while the car handles the rest. I can easily do 1,000 miles in a day and have stretched to 1,300 (1,000 when I have to find a hotel to stay in that night, 1,300 when I know where I'm sleeping and don't have to worry about rooms selling out).
