Weird but true: More you HATE Tesla, the less likely you are to have driven one.

To be fair,
Prepared to drop an epic screed at any moment on how terrible and stupid and worthless "FSD beta" is? The chances that you own a Tesla with FSD beta enabled (or have driven someone else's Tesla with FSD beta enabled) approach zero. And I have literally never met a single self-described "Waymo" fan who has actually driven a "Waymo" -- not one single person.
Don't know how to explain it, but it's the damndest thing.

not given the premise above
and yes, you can easily get a Prius to 500k with a cheap aftermarket battery replacement which still makes it ridiculously cheaper to operate than a Tesla
if you're actually interested in saving money, buying a Tesla is not the "smart choice." it's smarter than many regular cars, sure.

To be fair,
It will absolutely save you money on maintenance, especially if you're planning to drive Prius all the way up to 500,000 miles. Or do you think Priuses -- which still have engines filled with a ton of moving mechanical parts (unlike, say, a Tesla) -- magically don't require increasing levels of maintenance after a certain point simply because they are good, reliable, and economical cars?
Gas is more questionable, but anyone telling you it "definitely" won't cost more to fill up a Prius than to charge a Tesla in ~2028 is full of fucking shit because no one actually knows what gas prices will look like that far out. Why don't you use that crystal ball to give us a dead to rights promise on whether SOL will have a bigger market cap than ETH in 3 years, too, while you're at it?

I took a ride in a Tesla. It was funny because I couldn't figure out how to open the doors from inside or outside.
It was a very pleasant ride. The thing that nagged me though was like, how clean and smooth it is. You'll never get that diesel smell or fumes like on the race track. I can't imagine NASCAR with electric cars. But maybe engines that roll coal will just be restricted to racing or recreationally in the future. The future is definitely electric.

To be fair,
Literally much cheaper, actually.

You only think that because the media loves to report on any crash involving a Tesla which makes them seem "unsafe", when in reality Model 3's are actually the statistically safest cars ever tested according to NHTSA.
(PS: The increased real world FSD driving data that Tesla will get out of this approach on the back end -- which is the single most important resource for continuing to refine the FSD software -- is worth its weight in gold, and is yet another example of how Elon is genuinely great at leveraging the Tesla brand and the brand loyalty it inspires to create smart synergies. But I'm sure someone who definitely owns and loves driving a "Waymo" and isn't even slightly mad that they were never dumb enough to buy into the hype and pick up some Tesla stock will come in here shortly to explain that this is just a scam for gullible retards, it's a terrible deal, Tesla is going to zero soon, etc.)
