Alright. First gun, then, is a carry handgun. I recommend the SIG P320 XC or P365, the S&W M&P 2.0 compact, Walther PPQ M2, HK VP9, Glock 19 or 26, Springfield Hellcat, or -- if you need to go budget -- Canik TP9.
If you want an AR (which should be your next purchase), look at my brand list here: http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=4586578&mc=160&forum_id=2#41143621 or give a budget and I will provide specific recs and accessory list.

Not terribly useful. I've seen a few guys (including one in my current unit) run the magpul 60rd drums without issues, so you could do that if you really wanted, but most other drums aren't very reliable -- the bigger the drum, the more likely the spring becomes damaged or weakened. Almost everyone just runs regular 30rd mags because they're easily carried (longer mags are a pain in the ass, and try reloading with retention using a drum lol -- where are you gonna put it? dump pouch maybe? but then it'll flop around and be annoying when you're moving.).
I'd just purchase a lot more 30 rounders. I have around 50 or 60 spares, not counting the ones in all of my guns. This means I can keep some of them loaded in my range bag, some of them at my house, and some of them with match ammo on my plate carrier so I can just grab it and go if I need to. You really can never have enough mags. My advice is grab five USGI metal ones, a few magpuls, a few lancers, a few Troys, and a few ETS mags, and just see which you like the best. I'd stick with 30 rounders though.

Yeah, I just picked up 2 magpul M3 (the ones with the window) 30 rd mags. I have like 10 10 round mags, idk how many to bother with.
I also have a 45 PCC that takes Glock 30 mags and apparently all the 30 rd mags for that are unreliable. They have OEM 13 rd mags but idk that moving from 10 to 13 is really worthwhile. I already have like 7-8 mags for that gun. Then I have 6 mags for 2 PX4 45s. So I guess I have like 26 mags total.
I'll also note that since the pistols are new I'm not going to play with the rifles for a while. I'm focusing on getting good with the pistols and getting a CCW.

Yes.
- Sig P365
- Sig P320 XC
- Springfield Hellcat
- Walther PPQ M2 full size or subcompact
- Walther PDP compact
- Walther PPS
- HK VP9 SK
- S&W M&P 2.0 compact and subcompact
- S&W M&P Shield Plus
- Glock 19, 26, and 43
I would be hesitant to immediately jump towards one of the subcompacts. They are harder to control and learn to shoot with. If she is able to conceal a compact, she will perform much better with it. I also recommended Glocks last because they have a sharp grip angle that is not natural and is often not comfortable for most women. Take her to a gun store, pull out this list and have her hold them in her hand. Have her hold them correctly, as demonstrated here: https://youtu.be/45QhpvY9LZc and see which one feels best in her hand. Then go with that.
