They are just playing roullette right now, blaming the mutations on some random characteristic of the populations where they occur. This week it's AIDS, but they will eventually blame the mutations on the unvaccinated infants, pets, sewage, anything they can think of that's not a vaccine.

I think if you look at the vaccination in Australia and plot it against the infection surge that subsequently occurred - it is easy to say that there is a causal relationship. That said however, it may be correlated simply due to people mingling en masse and causing transmission events to occur with a rapidly increased frequency.

That said - I am not in the “Covid is completely not real” camp - as it is likely a novel virus of some type (however I could be completely wrong here - I freely admit it) - but I do think that it may have circulated for a long time; or a virus of a similar nature has always been circulating and just not isolated (there are so many viruses out there that have not been isolated) - which makes it easy for a malevolent entity to “conjure it into existence” by simply isolating deaths and classifying them for what they are rather than “the flu” - I know personally someone in 2018 or so who was sick for 5 months or so with a hacking cough and malaise - basically “long Covid” and they were told they had three different types of influenza but not tested at all - it’s just more observational medical laziness and the byproduct of the lack of real physicians in our medical system at this point.

There are also zoonotic RNA viruses out there doing legit bad things to people that we are simply ignoring. Most glaring example (that I know of) is RSV. Look at what this chimp virus does. It just popped up in our species one day after not doing that for millions of years, makes us sick, kills people, we can't make a vaccine for it because, duhh, so instead we renamed it RSV instead of CCP so that people wouldn't know it came from a chimp, and if you die from it we just say you had "pneumonia." This virus looks just about as bad as COVID, maybe worse, but no one cares. It looks like it's a bigger threat to kids, but no one cares.
