Wife got rejected from UT and then I got her in with in state tuition (CSLG)

Date: November 27th, 2021 10:40 PM Author: Trip area sandwich Wife's numbers were top 25% for admission to UT but because we were from out of state she got yield protected owned. I wrote a letter to the dean of admissions saying I couldn't attend without her because I am a type 1 diabetic and she helps take care of me. I included some photos of us together. She ended up getting a call 2 weeks later and offered admission.
Then we took the scholarship package we got from Georgetown and a few other places and proceeded to negotiate our offers. Wife and I both ended up getting in state tuition at UT, plus 5K in free money. So our tuition was like 12K/year. One of our friends found out 1L year what happened and was really butthurt about it because she was paying way more. Was really funny (that girl is poor and living in Ohio now too).
Just shows you that everything is negotiable and never take no for an answer. Being annoying really pays off, and I mean this unsarcastically. Once I was handling a criminal case and a DA told me if I promised to leave him alone he would drop my client's charges. Was 180. |

so if I got waitlisted and you got rejected, then a month later you win the NSF you might be going to MIT or whatever instead of me |
