i don't have lasik and i'm not sure the cost, but it's my understanding that the procedure fixes poor eyesight.

Isn’t there a small chance that you live in unending pain when you get Lasik? How long did it take to recover btw?

Got it done years ago. Was great. Do your research and find a good dr that is highly recommended. Do not cheap out. LASIK recovery is a breeze. If you need PRK it’s tougher.

basically if they botch it, which they likely won't, but if they do, your life is a horror show until you die cuz u didn't wanna wear glasses or contacts

LOL at accepting even a 1/1,000 shot of being blind the rest of your life. Not worth it. Glasses are perfectly fine the majority of the time and contacts exist for when glasses won't cut it.

I remember how it felt when I was a teen and got my first pair of glasses, it was shocking how bad my eyesight had become

I wonder if Lasik/RELEX (new version of Lasik) would give me that same feeling, reading horror stories of blindness, permanent eye damage and constant pain + 'wearing off' of lasik put me off

I just remain greatful I still have pain free eyesight, even if it's rather poor, I'd much rather stay 'neutral' where I'm at rather than risk losing my sight

It's weird, whenever I'd get injured or ill, I'd immediately think how ungreatful I used to be for the absence of pain/discomfort

If I did lasik and got fucked up,I'd literally do anything to 'get back' to normal , so why risk it?

knowing my luck, I'd end up some weird edge case with insane side effects that noone could relate to + pain + would wear off on me within 5 yrs and leave me worse off or some bullshit

given your moniker it's worth suggesting:

go to the most popular jew doctor in the most affluent nearby neighborhood, with the most cutting edge equipment and happily pay the 30% premium, that's what I did for the peace of mind and the procedure + results were 100% excellent, recovery was nearly instant (don't remember any side effects, think i went back to biglaw within hours)

ReLex. I did it, my wife did it. Its amazing and great. Way fewer issues/problem than lasik. Lasik is old school tech. For $5k USD you can do relex in both your eyes with a US trained doctor in Thailand.
