I went completely insane overnight. Just lost it seemingly out of nowhere. Did some truly embarrassing things that I don’t want to repeat. Lost a lot of friends.
Recovery consisted of seven hospitalizations, forced medication, voluntarily taking medication, burning myself out though exercise every single day for over a year, and a positive attitude. I’m stable enough now where I can hold down a full-time white collar job. |

A wholly organic psychosis? Stress or drug induced? What's your diagnosis? Are you still on meds? |

Date: January 25th, 2022 8:02 PM Author: slippery dopamine pisswyrm No drugs involved, and my life was not particularly stressful when it started. So I guess it was an organic psychosis. I went from mostly carefree to full-on paranoid psychosis in the span of 2-3 days.
I got a bunch of different diagnoses during the hospitalizations. Schizophrenia, psychotic disorder, psychotic bipolar disorder, and schizoaffective disorder. When you’re deep in paranoid psychosis they seem to just label you with a random psychotic disorder.
Stable on a low dose of antipsychotics right now. Was taking lithium too until a few months ago. |
