The closer you look at Romney, the less prestigious he becomes. Born on third base to a wealthy businessman / presidential candidate. Makes a name for himself doing private equity during the PE boom, but has the other PE guys of the time running circles around him (t Boone Pickens, Kravis, etc.). Has his otherwise unremarkable political career bolstered by an insular religious voting block who sees him as a way to increase their own representation. Makes a career out of acquiescing to the demands of his political rivals and getting nothing in return for it. Basically sucked Trumps duck for Sec of State and still gets rejected.
Biden was an Irish prole who banged his way through mediocre schools to get the meaningless on-paper credentials he needed. Then he got elected as senator at age 29 and has been gritting off the federal government ever since. Now he is (a completely unremarkable) POTUS. |
