that's 6.5 meters by 4 meters, or c. 280 square feet (155 of these parcels would almost make a full acre). it's not much land, but what's interesting is that englanders WITH yards tend to prize them a lot and often do quite a bit with them (multi-layer gardens, ornate little paths and benches, mini-garages for motorcycles and small engines, etc.).
the ability to externalize your living quarters into private land even just a little bit is important, and should never be underrated. |
