anyways, people irl think i'm attractive so i'm really not tripping about what u guys think, even after having seen many photos. lots of people like the way i present myself irl and my style and stuff. sure, not everyone, but there's no shortage of people (across demographics) who do.
i know the people on reddit who rated me below-average have no incentive to lie, so obviously *some* people think so. but it wasn't unanimous on reddit, whereas it virtually is on here. there are only about ~2 poasts in that huge thread that admitted to thinking i'm above average, and that seems... skewed.

of course 20-39 is a broad range and obesity rates increase with age, so that's not very useful. conceivably the fats could be clustered at the very top of the age range, and those are ppl who are already less attractive on average.
while i couldn't find more granular data for adults, i did find some childhood obesity stats - "The obesity rate among young people ages 12-19 is 21.2%".
like i said, the rates increase with age. so we're already higher than 21.2% (1 in 5) obese people by the time you get to 19. rates are higher for women btw.
pulling some numbers out of my ass, i would guess that by the time you get to my age, over 30% of women are obese. this is charitable. i'm being generous by starting 19yos at 20% even though that # was for a whole range starting at 12. and since the 40% number is the average of that whole 20-year range, if it increases linearly it'd already be above 40% by my age (over halfway thru the 20-39 group). this isn't adjusting for the differing populations btwn the ages but again i am being very safe here.
so if you group me with just 19-31yos and assume the population is evenly distributed across ages, 25% in this group are obese.
i don't want to assume i'm more attractive than every obese woman, especially cuz BMI is kind of bullshit and everyone's body type is different. so let's give a little MOAR wiggle room and just say this puts me in the 70th percentile based on body alone. even if i'm only more attractive than 1 in 5 non-obese ppl, that's still over 75th %ile.
given this, 6 seems low. |

So a supermodel (yes elbows too pointy etc) will be a 9-10. A really, really, really hot "normal" chick with a great body and face will be in the 8-9 range. 8 and below is where you get most normal, very very hot chicks. Almost no xo posters have or will date an 8 (that includes you tsinah lmao). 7-8 is closer to what a good looking guy will date/marry. 7s are chicks who are attractive, both in body and face, without any major visible flaws--meaning a good hip to waist ratio, normal bust and butt sizes, as well as an attractive face.
6-7 are normal "cute" chicks that are in high demand by everyone. A 6-7 chick is attractive on a binary scale but doesn't have the attractiveness of the higher level checks, usually because of some issue with the body. These days, it's often obesity/tattoos/birth control/blue hair etc. This range is where most normal, binary young and reasonably attractive chicks will land. But these chicks are in high demand but balding Melvins, other 5-6 males in their age group, older better looking/higher status guys who may want to P&D them, etc.
5-6 is where you get chicks who are not "ugly" per se, but also not super hot who have something that is holding them back from being more attractive. Usually these girls are overweight or boxy or something.

my waist-hip ratio is actually preftigious. every time i've measured it, across all different weights, it's been .72-.75. this was the case even when i was literally in the high 140s (27.5", 38"). the shirt in the pix falls kinda weird and makes me look boxy; i've acknowledged this elsewhere. i can't find any non-pornographic pix that show off my waistline but it falls right in the cross-cultural ideal :)
thank you for the advice. i def need to get my diet under control. i'm very much a proponent of "calories in, calories out" so i just eat one meal a day of whatever i feel like, and it's always below maintenance. but i do need to actually start thinking about the nutrition itself, like yesterday, to keep the years from catching up to me lol.
