Date: June 27th, 2022 12:55 PM Author: Arousing rigor Yesterday, my hot organic gf and I took my mom to a winery for wine tasting. It was pretty cool, and we left with seven bottles. Then, my hot organic gf and I went to the butcher and picked up some steaks (NY strip and filet). After that, we went to a brewery and then whole foods to pick up the rest of stuff for dinner.
For dinner, we had the steaks, Mexican street corn (which I first grilled), and parsnips and carrots (I first cooked them on the grill in foil & glazed with a mixture of butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, and crushed red pepper. After that, I grilled them to get some char marks before glazing them again and holding them in a 170 degF oven until ready to be served). It was outstanding.
Today, we are heading to Portland, ME for lunch. We are leaving tomorrow and will stay overnight in DC, then drive down to FL. We will stop in Destin (Crab Island) for a night before heading back to Orlando. |
