And during this battle they develop reliance and courage. They no longer want their friends to make mistakes, but instead address them. My kid was sucking at the plate the last two tournaments ... next game the boys got up and were extra loud until he smacked the ball. Thats like mini band of brother's shit.
I think the entire team is in awe of my oldest daughter too. She shows up to a game in her ballet tights and they all of a sudden really like my son. |

we won like 3 games total, but each “win” was *only* because the other team in each instance got disqualified for various reasons. I only recall one game was an ineligible player, no idea what the fuck else the other games could’ve been (maybe same scenario), but anyways we were technically in the running for 3rd place because of our fraud record so got to play in the bowl game for that. lost by like 40 (which was about average for us).
I learned nothing from this experience whatsoever. it’s not fun to be on a super shitty team. |

They will be lucky if they don’t have permanently busted knees or brain damage from concussions. Then they can go and get a bullshit job at a nonprofit making 60k if they’re lucky or work as a cashier at CVS if they’re unlucky but hey, at least they don’t have crippling debt. Great life trajectory, high school sports were definitely worth it and not at all a waste of Time in the critical years where they need to get real about what they are going to do with their lives.
