I had never used ProctorU (online platform to take the exam) before and the LSAC only said to make an account prior to the exam, which I did. When you finally initiate the exam, you have to download a Google Chrome widget then install an entirely new program and give some random faceless “proctor” complete access to your computer and all your downloads. Like they control your screen at times to enter certain PWs to access the exam. I also had to reconfigure all my Google Chrome settings. Libs have really ruined test taking. The online aspect of the exam wasn’t a big deal to me but there’s no chance in hell it makes the exam more accessible to most people. It’s so unnecessarily burdensome and it’s humiliating giving some random person access to your computer, holding up your laptop to show them the whole room, the floor, showing them the insides of your eyeglasses, needing to tear apart scrap paper in front of them at the end of the exam and even tear off your water bottle label prior to it… felt like I got pulled aside at the airport.
