After the incident with the Tesla being taken apart and used for testing, I’m always watching my cars when its being rented out on Turo.
One of my electric rentals a Porsche Taycan is parked inside a warehouse according to gps. I looked up the address and it is called IDIADA Automotive Technology USA in Corona California. I briefly looked up what they do and it says they do battery testing among their jobs.
When the renter insisted I include the stock battery charger for the car, I made him put a deposit down. His Zelle came from a company that does auto repair.
How scared should I be?
Update: Cop report taken. They told me take it to civil court and sue. Testing company is asking for a day to take off testing equipment. They claim they test parts for safety and send the results to the government. Several hands are involved in getting my car to this company and I have no idea how my renter is linked to this. I’m still trying to call down the chain before I report this to Turo.
UPDATE 2: Turo has yet to respond with an ETA on this resolution. They told me I can't pick up the car and bring it to safety until they do /facepalm |

The company was loaned the car probably from the renter to do the testing. I am their office with a water bottle from one of their boys and about to faint from acid reflux. |
