Five years after LS, just as your boutique entertainment firm in LA implodes over the name partner being at the center of a super famous scandal and name partner gets sentenced to three years in federal prison, your good buddy from LS gets out of the JAG core and it’s ITE so he’s looking for work and you are too bc your firm didn’t want to bring you along when they found a port in the wiretapping storm. But unlike JAG buddy you leveraged your HLS prestige to snag a spot at a biglaw firm, albeit a shitty one, but still that’s like getting a v10 offer a few years earlier in terms of degree of difficulty.
But you still want to help your brother out, so you, buddy and another dude from LS start a company that is mainly an excuse to deduct time spent poasting and dicking around on YouTube as a business expense. Then he suddenly meets this hot reporter chick who is inexplicably into him despite his obesity and personality defects/mild autism, and marries into a rich family where he lives. Over the next five years he begins a meteoric rise through Republican Party politics and ends up as the GOP front runner to be governor of Florida and then he pulls out the win in a Dem wave year.
My question is: when did he stop taking your calls? Was it like two weeks after he met the girl/in laws that made his entire life? When he was elected to Congress? He presumably wanted you to help him fundraise when he was still a nobody, so maybe you still talk in 2017, but by 2018 lol you have to call his assistant and then you hold out hope for months until you finally realize he will never talk to you again sometime in 2019. Must be hard on a guy’s self esteem, especially an HLS striver dork who is a delusional narcissist.
