My wife, Jana was a huge Lana Del Rey fan & she loved this song. I actually never gave it a whole lot of thought until she passed unexpectedly in her sleep on March 19, 2021, in our home in Sedona, Arizona. Since that day, I've been obsessed with it & listen to the song almost every day. Sometimes several times a day & it never fails to make me shed a tear for Jana as I do. She had just turned 39-years-old in February & she was absolutely beautiful inside & out. Ironically enough, many people used to stop her in the street & tell her how much she looked like Lana. She was my gorgeous ginger baby. And as a tribute to Jana, I'm going to get the lines
"Think I'll miss you forever
Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky"
tattooed on me with Jana's name & her significant dates beneath it. She'd have loved that, I think.

The Flim-Flam Hunter had been tracking a man for weeks. She’d seen the same user name, “Roses4ever,” leaving top comments on sad pop songs all over YouTube. For the Dropkick Murphy’s “Rose Tattoo,” his wife named Rose died, and he got a tattoo and cries when he listens to the song and thinks of her. Then there was Adele’s “Someone Like You,” in which his wife died of cancer; Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” in which his wife drowned while they were vacationing in Thailand; Bon Jovi's “Wanted Dead or Alive,” in which she was killed by an old-timey gunslinger; Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” in which she was killed by a stalker; and so many more. The Flim-Flam Hunter began knew her man was a fraud. No one could be that unlucky in love. He was making it all up for clout!
She would confront him on live video. She showed up to his channel, “Roses4ever: A Tribute to My Wives,” and sure enough, there he was: a middle-aged man with a beard and glasses, crying while listening to Adele. The Flim-Flam Hunter called him out.
“You can’t be serious! Your wife didn’t die of cancer, or drowning, or getting killed by a gunslinger/stalker! How many wives have you had? You’re just making this all up for attention! Aren’t you?"
The man looked up, surprised. “Actually, no. I’ve had 12 wives, and they’ve all died in the ways that I described in my comments." He showed her the death certificates and news clippings and marriage reports, and the Flim-Flam Hunter realized he was telling the truth. He wasn’t a fraud after all; he was just very unlucky.
But then she had another thought: what if he was a “black widower,” killing his wives for insurance money or some other twisted reason? She accused him of it on live video, and to her shock, he confessed that yes, he did kill his wives. But then he sang a proposal song to her in an Irish accent (she later found out that his wife Rose had been Irish), and the Flim-Flam Hunter realized she was destined to accept. For she knew now that she was in a song about a woman who hunts for fraud, finds love that is true, but then kills her husband, who had slain all his past loves.
(The story above was found in the top comment to a YouTube song which shall go unidentified to protect the innocent and the lovelorn.)
