a huge flaw of soccer is how easy it is for the weaker team to sit back and bring the game to a grinding bore.
for the same reason one tie-breaker that's sometimes used, especially in two-game series of home-and-away matches, is "away goals" because road teams play conservatively for a tie and then try to win at home. |
