They help me refine my arguments and make them better. xo has also made me more conservative over the years, which is something I appreciate in retrospect. After many years of reading xo, I'm not only more conservative, but I'm able to articulate conservative positions much more forcefully. I'm much more knowledgeable about Clarence Thomas for example. I know more about his jurisprudence than I would without xo. xo helped me understand that he's not a Scalia clone, as others would have me believe. That alone has really helped me deal with libs who try to besmirch his name.
