-transactions take seconds or minutes to settle, rather than days -you have finality of settlement right away, which is huge -no off-hours or off-days -ability to have complete self-custody -ability to deploy capital in a matter of minutes to earn a above-market yield
And the above are just practical advantages of stablecoins, which are only going to increase as they become more integrated with tradfi.
The most important aspect of crypto for me is a decentralized store of value, uncontrollable by governments. If you haven't noticed, the governments of the world are collectively becoming more and more oppressive and authoritarian. If you don't see the value in having an "insurance policy" of half a mil socked away on a thumbdrive (or committed to memory, with the ability to restore it on any computer anywhere), then you haven't thought about the future much and where everything could be heading. |
