i used early ftp/vine/etc servers. the usability for the average person was not there. secondly there was nothing of interest for 99% of people. i don't see how that analogous to crypto.
you needed html to make the data attractive and available, what does crypto need? its just currency.
the better argument against it is that it has no convincing use case, i already have currency why would i switch.

why would anyone choose to TRANSACT in an crypto, instead of fiat? they're either:
1. engaging in illegal commerce in any country
2. making big purchase in a banana republic with serious inflation
there's no good reason. it has nothing to do with ui/ux. everyone in a developed country would rather use fiat
why would anyone choose to HOLD crypto?
1. speculation
2. crypto nerd having fun
zero interest rate comes to an end and suddenly there's no good reason to speculate. so you're left with crypto nerds having fun as the only reason to transact or hold

You clearly know nothing about crypto or just havent thought about it much. It is VASTLY better than fiat and has seen more progress and innovation in the past 5 years than tradfi has in the past few decades.
-transactions take seconds or minutes to settle, rather than days
-you have finality of settlement right away, which is huge
-no off-hours or off-days
-ability to have complete self-custody
-ability to deploy capital in a matter of minutes to earn a above-market yield
And the above are just practical advantages of stablecoins, which are only going to increase as they become more integrated with tradfi.
The most important aspect of crypto for me is a decentralized store of value, uncontrollable by governments. If you haven't noticed, the governments of the world are collectively becoming more and more oppressive and authoritarian. If you don't see the value in having an "insurance policy" of half a mil socked away on a thumbdrive (or committed to memory, with the ability to restore it on any computer anywhere), then you haven't thought about the future much and where everything could be heading.

CASH. Wire. Certified funds. I get INSURANCE. I can bond to get replacement certified checks. I get a bank to ensure I don't make an error.

wut? no refunds? its cash. they can just say no. I don't understand. you can still get sued for a transaction in crypto.
-no off-hours or off-days
CASH.
-ability to have complete self-custody
CASH.

...while invested in a risky asset. that's not new. thats all high-risk high-reward investments.
I have a stack of ~$12,000 in my safe. I can PHYSICALLY take it somewhere and buy something. I don't see how 12k in crypto would be superior.
I'm all for you people making money, I just dont understand the reason for this shit.

This but the transacting part is about to change. It’s cheaper to transact using crypto.

It’s a fucking joke and none of the arguments holds water. In a true shit hits the fan scenario fake internet money will drop faster than any other common store of value and possibly become outright impossible to access or use. The fact that the smartest minds in the space work around the clock to turn other people’s fiat into crypto and their own crypto into fiat, real estate and cars tells you everything you need to know.
