I'd probably put my wife in a warp prism. In the lore those work by digitizing the troops they're transporting, then rematerializing them on the other side. Imagine the convenience of being able to transport the children when they're digitized, they blink their eyes and they're at the other side. Plus it works on an autopilot so she can't crash into anything. And if there's ever an electrical outage she can switch to phase mode and power the house.
For myself I'd probably take a void ray. Not the most practical choice but they look cool and destroy buildings easily so.

Brood War is more fun to watch because the game is strategically deeper, but Starcraft 2 is more fun to play because the interface doesn't hate you. |

Date: February 4th, 2023 9:45 PM Author: startling costumed turdskin menage It's a really broad topic but a huge part of it is how bad the interface and AI in Brood War is. The difference between how much you can get out of a unit by micro'ing in brood war vs. just letting it rip is huge; it's much smaller in Starcraft 2 because the AI isn't quite as retarded. But it's also harder to produce units in Brood War. Nobody is actually fast enough to do everything they'd like to be doing. The good players are all fast, but a big part of their decision-making process is what they actually want to focus their APM (Actions Per Minute) on. They're playing a deep game between micro'ing at one engagement, micro'ing at another, or just focusing on macro and praying the AI does okay on its own. At the same time, they're also trying to tax the enemy's APM by giving them a lot more to focus on.
This dance doesn't really happen in Starcraft 2, macro is much easier plus you can literally F2 to select all your military units and hit attack, getting decent but not perfect performance out of your army.
Brood War is also hell on the wrists for that reason, most of the guys crazy enough to do it as a career have had multiple surgeries. You can actually play Starcraft 2 at a decently high level without fucking up your arms. |
