Why do you think the NSDAP were so interested in the occult? It was a matter of security

You really won't even walk or talk half-way. It's hi or goodbye, is that it?

Call it a low trust environment. I wouldn't often pick up a hitchhiker in a high crime area, either

I think war is abhorrent, and conflict is the scourge of the nations. The sorts of paranoiac behaviors that lead to the stockpiling and creation of new arms in the various tangible to intangible wars that man desolates the earth with are, without a doubt, a defilement of the tranquility of creation; thorns in the bushes that ring the primordial garden that I assume we all strive to re-enter, with utmost grace. Would it not be so kind and lovely to finally lay down our arms and embrace in the name of peace, fellowship, and simple human to human goodwill? Nuclear disarmament, the guaranteed demilitarization of space, what a dream. People from continent to continent kindly eschewing the kinds of cloak and dagger wreckings and murders we associate with espionage, sabotage, and spycraft, and instead speaking to one another and settling their issues with good and peaceable words mouth to ear, face to face, it'd be a delight. Great deliberative bodies across the world winning hearts and minds with rousing speeches, God-given charisma, and simple pleadings of truth. Surely you share that vision with me, all of our shared tendencies to unfortunate biological biases and regressive beliefs aside? I have never not recognized nor not attempted to personally work to quell such flames, despite all the difficulties involved in doing so, especially in the kinds of hostile environments you might encounter in the world today. Sometimes I even get pretty close to success but weird things from outside just keep happening that meddle with that, and it makes you rethink the schemas that you use to strive for some small degree nearer to paradise
