i've been watching more of the israeli election runup than i have the american one and the mood, at least from the publications, is surprisingly sedate and maybe a bit mournful
i saw trump is trying to cut a deal to cut israel's defense aid which i'm guessing means he's just trying to extract more concessions out of bibi to mollify people who aren't going to vote republican anyway

Yeah they've always done so terribly when democrats are in control. Oh wait...no it seems like Israel is always getting what it wants from the US no matter who is in charge
it's not as though israel is fucked in the near-term. i don't think anyone realistically thinks that. but israel is no doubt VERY worried about what happened on tuesday. tuesday happened largely bc of the iran war, and that was pushed by israel and everyone knows it. and people are now openly talking about our funding of israel and their involvement with our politicans.
the dems at least have some people who've distanced themselves from israel and that hasn't hurt their electability. in fact, the dem establishment tried to steer voters away from al sayed and failed. the writing is on the wall - israel may become a litmus test issue for dem voters. how far behind are the republicans going to be?
so yeah, israel isn't uberfucked this year, next year or in 2030, but the writing is on the wall. they are in serious fucking trouble.bibi knows this, hence his meeting with social media influencers last year and having rich tech jews buying up media outlets.
if you just look at everything that's happened since October 7, that event set in motion israel's demise. israel probably won't exist in 50 years, and historians are going to pinpoint 10/7 as the catalytic event. which is why i lol at the fact that dimwitted jews like sealclubber used to tell me i was a retard for saying hamas did, in fact, "win" by carrying out that attack.
